Know, Grow, & Let Go Tarot Spread
A Spread for Discernment, Tending, and Intentional Release
Transformation asks us to develop different relationships with different parts of our lives. Some truths need to be trusted. Some possibilities need to be nourished. Some patterns, identities, or commitments have completed their purpose and are ready to be released.
This spread supports the discernment between these movements. It does not treat growth as constant expansion or letting go as a demand to abandon difficult feelings. Release can include grieving, honoring, and integrating what has shaped us. Growth can be quiet, nonlinear, and almost invisible. Knowing can live in the body before it can be explained by the mind.
Use this spread to listen for what is already known, what is still becoming, and what no longer needs to be carried in the same way.

When to Use this Spread
Turn to this spread when you are:
-
Moving through a transition or threshold
-
Feeling torn between holding on and moving forward
-
Beginning a new season, year, project, or phase of life
-
Sensing an inner truth you have not fully trusted
-
Tending a possibility that needs patience and care
-
Ready to release something without erasing its meaning
Suggested Ritual Instructions
Place three objects in front of you to represent knowing, growing, and letting go. They might be stones, candles, leaves, or any objects available to you.
Notice which one draws your attention first. There is no need to make yourself equally ready for every part of the process. Name what is true in this moment, including any uncertainty or resistance.
The Spread
This spread is based on the following questions:
-
What I Know: What truth or inner knowing is already present?
-
What Obscures My Knowing: What fear, expectation, or outside influence makes that knowing difficult to trust?
-
What Wants to Grow: What emerging capacity, relationship, possibility, or part of self is asking to develop?
-
What Will Nourish It: What condition, practice, resource, or relationship can support this growth?
-
What Has Completed Its Purpose: What has reached the end of its current cycle or can no longer accompany me in the same form?
-
What Makes Release Difficult: What attachment, grief, loyalty, or protective need deserves acknowledgment?
-
What Becomes Possible: What space or movement might emerge as I know, grow, and let go?
Go Deeper
-
Where does knowing live in your body?
-
What is the difference between something growing slowly and something remaining stuck?
-
What are you afraid release might mean about you or your past?
-
Can you honor what was without continuing to carry it?
Integration
Write three short statements:
I know…
I am tending…
I am willing to release…
If it feels appropriate, return one small natural object to the earth as a gesture of release. This is not an attempt to force an ending, it's a way of acknowledging that transformation often includes decay, uncertainty, and the creation of space for another form of life.
